Workshops are FREE to RCO Members
South East Ohio Hope Center, a Recovery Community Organization (RCO) is an entity whose creation has been supported by the ARC - INSPIRE grant through Ohio University and sub-awardee Hocking College, which houses the RCO meeting room and office. The INSPIRE grant goal is to empower community members in recovery by making available workshops and programs through the Hocking College Maker Space Network / leisure learning. RCOs provide recovery-focused community activities to people in recovery. This free program allows those in recovery to explore creative learning techniques and skills, which will enable them to seek employment with these new skills or an entrepreneurial venture. Programs available include ceramics, painting, glass blowing, pottery, metal works, welding, carpentry, as well as certification programs through the ODHE Aspire grant programs. There is also a professional development piece that goes along with this program, all while offering peer to peer support for recovery sustainability and mental health services.
To become a member of the RCO, Come to a meeting and sign up. Meetings are held for all lifestyles of recovery on Mondays at 12:00 PM at Hocking College, 2nd floor, John Light Hall Room 269
